The Trestle Trail is our first completed project, named for the former Baltimore & Ohio (CSX) railroad bridge passing overhead. Officially opened on September 1, 2018, this short connector trail allows bicyclists and pedestrians to avoid traffic and access the lightly traveled roads southeast of Lebanon. The trail offers a quiet passage through a wooded scene along Little Silver Creek and on into the flat expanses of Looking Glass Prairie.
The trail is open from dusk to dawn and consists of a packed crushed limestone surface. In September 2019, a 200-foot section of the trail was upgraded to poured concrete.
